Word is that they paid the ransom. I don’t know how much that was.
I doubt we’ll get an official confirmation from ARRL. If they did pay it, it should show up in the financials, however with all the external consulting time they used they could bury a ransom payment in with the cost of that and we’ll see some non-itemized lump sum labeled “systems outage”.
I’m just dismayed that we had to learn from a public legal filing that the root cause was ransomware. ARRL badly handled communication of this outage from start to finish.
